Are you having trouble signing in to the Web Clipper? It is likely due to your browser's cookie settings.
Issue
The symptoms of this issue are as follows: the Batterii Web Clipper asks you to sign in to your Batterii community, and upon clicking the "Sign In" button it stalls without presenting any error, and asks you to sign in again.
Solution
The most common cause of this issue is that a policy has been set in your browser to "block third-party cookies" (this policy may have been set automatically by your company). This setting restricts the Batterii Web Clipper from communicating with Batterii servers, so it must be disabled, or an exception must be added. You can usually resolve the issue by following these steps:
Google Chrome
Go to the Settings area of your browser then click "Show Advanced Settings."
Scroll down and click "Content Settings" under the Privacy section:
Your Content Settings will likely show that "Block third-party cookies and site data" has been enabled:
At this point if you are able to uncheck (disabled) the setting, you should be good to go. If, however, your company security policy does not allow the setting to be disabled, continue on below to learn how to add a single exception for Batterii.
Click the "Manage exceptions..." button to open the exceptions editor:
Under Hostname pattern, add [*.]batterii.com and under Behavior choose "Allow" from the dropdown as shown in the screenshot below. Then click "Done":
Return to the Batterii Web Clipper and attempt to sign in again, where you should now be able to successfully sign in and begin using the Web Clipper.
Firefox
Click on the Menu button to select Preferences.
Menu can be found by clicking the three bars in the top right corner of the browser.
Then select Preferences:
Select Privacy from the left side:
Select "Use custom settings for history" from the History dropdown:
Make sure "Always" or "From visited" is selected under the "Accept third-party cookies" option:
Return to the Batterii Web Clipper and attempt to sign in again, where you should now be able to successfully sign in and begin using the Web Clipper.
Safari
Click on "Safari" and click "Preferences" to see all the Safari Settings.
Go to the Privacy section and select "Allow from websites I visit" or "Always allow".
Return to the Batterii webclipper and attempt to sign in again, where you should now be able to successfully sign in and begin using the Web Clipper.
