How to Swap Tokens on TIDE.

Making DeFi Easy

Updated over a week ago

TIDE is a next-generation DEX on PulseChain, forked from Balancer V3, purpose-built to deliver deep, capital-efficient liquidity for native stablecoins like $CST, $USDL, $PXDC, and $HEXDC—strengthening on/off-ramps, reducing sell pressure, and unlocking sustainable growth for the entire PulseChain ecosystem.

This article covers "How to Swap Tokens on TIDE" as part of our mission to make DeFi more accessible and simpler for new users.

  1. Go to the TIDE App

    • Open app.0xtide.com in your browser.

    • Make sure you’re connected to the Pulse Chain network in your wallet (e.g., MetaMask).

  2. Connect Your Wallet

    • Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner.

    • Approve the connection in MetaMask (or your chosen wallet)

3. Select the Swap Page

4. Select Tokens (See below example)

  • In the swap interface, choose token (e.g. CST) in the “From” field.

  • Choose another token (e.g. PLSX) in the “To” field.

  • If a token doesn’t show, paste in its official contract address (be careful with this if you are new to DeFi)

5. Enter Swap Amount

  • Type how much CST you want to swap (e.g. 1000)

  • The app will automatically calculate how much PLSX you’ll receive (minus fees/slippage).

6. Review Rates & Fees

  • Check the exchange rate

  • Adjust slippage tolerance if needed (usually 0.5–1%, but may be higher on trading pairs with less liquidity)

Approve CST (first time only)

  • Click Approve CST to give the TIDE router permission to use your CST.

  • Confirm the approval in your wallet.

You will then see this screen

Confirm the Swap

  • Click Swap and approve the transaction in your wallet.

  • Wait for the transaction to confirm on PulseChain (usually 12-15 seconds).

Once this transaction is approved, you will have successfully completed the swap.

Remember, that wallet software (e.g. Metamask) may not automatically display the token balance. This doesn't mean the swap hasn't worked.

You can check the status of your transaction in more detail using one of the PulseChain Block Explorer, such as:
