The 12return platform exists of 2 products that together cover the connected returns process:

  • Return Bird (frontend, returns)

  • Return Dock (backend, operations, and circularity)

Return Bird

Return Bird is used to manage the customer returns process.

Return Dock

Is an app used by merchants or logistics service providers for the operational returns process in a return center:

  • Fully integrated with Return Bird

  • Multi-client and multi-location.

  • Supports an integral returns process.

Return Dock supports the operations process in 2 ways:

Return hub

Fulfillment center

In a return hub, returns are handled at the return level. This means that products are not separated from the return.

The returns process in a return hub is handled with the manifest flow.

The return status in Return Bird is updated when the outbound process has been completed and the return has been shipped to its next destination.

Returns are handled at the product level by checking the content of the return.

The returns process in a fulfillment center is handled with the container flow.

The return status in Return Bird is updated when the inbound process has been completed. Received products (assets) are separated from the return and are stored in the Available-for-Disposition or Available-for-Sales inventory based on the grade and disposition type.
