How to make your first swap

To start swapping, complete the following steps:

  1. Set up a 1inch wallet (or one of the many supported wallets).

  2. Connect the wallet to the 1inch dApp.

  3. Complete your first swap on Fusion mode!

Helpful tips:

Any token on the following networks can be custom-added to swap on 1inch:

EVM

Non-EVM

Aurora, Kaia, and Fantom have been deprecated. You can find more information in this article.

1) If you don't see the token in the list, it can be manually added with its ticker or contract address (the suggested source for finding the contract details is coingecko).

2) If swapping in Classic mode, ensure you have approximately sufficient native tokens on your balance to cover potential gas costs when approving and swapping.

3) Do not reduce the gas price or the gas limit, this will significantly increase the risk of transaction failures. Also, adjust slippage tolerance as needed.

4) When using Fusion mode for the first time, you must have a sufficient balance of native tokens to grant smart contract permissions. The swaps themselves are gasless—they don’t require native tokens to execute. Instead, the transaction cost is deducted by slightly reducing the amount of the token you receive.

5) Use Fusion+ mode (cross-chain) to swap tokens across chains (i.e., from Ethereum to BNB Chain) through 1inch.
