Why do we ask to verify your average daily balance?

Verifying your assets can help reduce risk by allowing us to extend 'credit' to certain actions that would normally require a deposit.

tl;dr - It’s never required. But when you opt in, it could mean no deposits, smoother bookings, and a more trusted ride under the 1Roof.

At 1Roof, we’re big believers in making life easier, not harder. Whether you’re booking a full-service beach day through BeachiFi or lining up gear through Rentifi, we know that big experiences sometimes come with big price tags—and traditionally, that means upfront deposits.

But what if there was a way to reduce (or even skip) that deposit entirely?

By linking your checking account and allowing us to view your average daily balance (ADB)—a common financial trust signal—we’re able to make an informed decision on whether we can extend credit for your booking. It’s a way of saying, “Hey, we trust that you’re good for it,” without requiring you to tie up funds in advance.

Here’s what this means for you:

  • You get more flexibility. No need to place a deposit if your ADB is strong enough to meet our risk-free threshold.

  • You stay in control. Linking your account is completely optional. If you’d rather not verify, no problem—a standard refundable deposit can be placed instead.

  • We only see what we need. Thanks to our secure integration with Plaid, we only view your ADB—never your transactions or personal account details.

  • We reduce risk for everyone. This lightweight step helps us keep the platform community-driven and sustainable, while still offering high-end experiences without high friction.

In short, ADB verification is about unlocking more value for you while allowing 1Roof to keep things fair and secure for everyone.
