Listing a book on BookiFi is a fast and rewarding way to contribute to community literacy, support banned or underfunded titles, and earn credits through BookiFi’s pay-it-forward system. To start, open the BookiFi marketplace and tap “List New Book.” You’ll then be prompted to either scan the book’s ISBN, enter it manually, or search by title, author, or keyword. Manual listings are currently not supported unless a valid ISBN is provided.

Once your book is found in the BookiFi catalog, the system will populate its metadata, including the cover image, synopsis, author, publication date, and page count. You’ll then be asked to select a genre (required) and a subgenre (optional) from BookiFi’s robust database of over 200 categories.

Next, choose your delivery method: Locker, In-Person, or Mail. This is where BookiFi stands out from other marketplaces, if Mail is selected, BookiFi will automatically generate a prepaid shipping label when a book is requested, which you can print and attach for easy shipment to the borrower’s preferred delivery address listed in their profile.

If you're delivering via locker or in person, the standard image-based check-in process applies. You'll be prompted to photograph the book before drop-off (or handoff), and the borrower will do the same upon receiving it. For mailed books, these steps are not required, but photo documentation is still recommended for added peace of mind.

Once listed, your book becomes discoverable to the entire BookiFi network. When a borrower requests your book, you’ll be notified and can approve or decline the request. Once approved, you’ll receive all next steps including shipping labels (if applicable) and locker access details (if selected).

After the borrower confirms receipt, the transaction appears in your Rentals Tab under Active and later Complete, where you can review the full timeline and user feedback.
