Borrowing a book on BookiFi is built to be as easy and rewarding as reading itself. Whether you’re looking for banned books, hard-to-find nonfiction, or timeless fiction, BookiFi’s expansive catalog and community-powered library make access simple and equitable.

Begin by logging into the BookiFi marketplace and using the search bar to find a book by title, author, or ISBN. Once you’ve found the right match, you’ll see all available copies—including book art, synopsis, author, genre, and details like page count and publication date.

When you’re ready, tap “Request Book” and choose how you’d like to receive it. BookiFi offers three delivery methods: Locker Pickup, In-Person Handoff, or Mail Delivery. If Mail is selected, your book will be sent to the preferred address in your profile, so be sure to confirm that it’s accurate before finalizing your request.

Once the lender approves your request, you'll receive a notification. If you're picking up the book via locker or in person, you’ll be provided with a secure pickup code, and both parties will follow a photo confirmation process to record the book’s condition. If the book is being mailed, the lender will print and ship a BookiFi-provided prepaid label to your registered address—no code or pictures required, although tracking is monitored by the platform.

Upon receipt of the book, simply mark it as “Received” in the Actions tab. Your loan will now appear in the Active section of your Rentals Tab, where you can track the due date and access return options.

When you’re ready to return the book, follow the same method you received it through: drop it at the designated locker, coordinate the handoff, or reuse the return shipping label if applicable. Don’t forget to take pictures if doing an in-person or locker return.

Once your return is confirmed by the lender, the rental is marked Complete, and you’ll have the chance to leave a review. Credits earned through borrowing, reviewing, or referring others can be used across other 1Roof marketplaces, reinforcing the power of shared access.
