What is staking? How does it work?

Updated yesterday

What is staking?

Staking allows you to back a player's buy-in for one of our daily tournaments and get a percentage of the prize pool if they win.

All matches are live-streamed in real-time and monitored by a live referee.

How do the returns work?

Starting returns are calculated based on stats and favorite/underdog balance.

What happens after I place my stake?

Your returns lock the second you stake!

Your stake is then locked in once it has been filled.

Stakes get filled if people stake the other side of the match for an equivalent amount.

What is the minimum amount I can win?

While there is no defined minimum you can win, returns can go below 1.2x or as high as even 76x!

To help you understand the stake multiplier, think of it like this: a 1x multiplier means you’ll get back exactly what you staked. Anything above that is pure profit!

Should I just wait until right before the event starts to place my stakes?

Most stakes fill closer to the start of the match. However, there is no downside to staking before the match start time, as your returns will lock the moment you stake!
