Placeholders are used in communication materials like the emails, ICS files and SMS notifications. With placeholders the email for example will automatically show the right information. There are for example placeholders for:

  • The date and time of the meeting

  • The meeting type name

  • The guest name and user name

  • Placeholders will also give agents and customers the ability to easily make changes to the appointments because it is all linked to the unique meeting that was created.


What are the frequently asked questions about this feature?

  • Are you able to change the format of the date and time placeholders? Or to change the time zone of these placeholders?

  • Does a custom domain impact the URL that is used in placeholders?

    • When working with a custom domain, you manually have to change the domain name that is used in the URL placeholders for example to enter the meeting room. When you do not change this manually, the general 24sessions domain name is shown in the communication materials.
