3DPrinterOS for Chromebooks

All slicing is handled on our Cloud platform.
To start using 3DPrinterOS, please create an account if you don’t already have one:

The Client is required to connect your 3D printer to our Cloud platform. Once your printer is connected to the Chromebook, it should appear in the Printers tab of your 3DPrinterOS dashboard.

Steps to Connect Your Printer

  1. Navigate to Printers and click Add Printer.

  2. Choose your printer from the list and select Linux (with autostart service) as the platform.

Installing the 3DPrinterOS Client on a Chromebook

To install our Client on your Chromebook, use the following command in the Linux terminal (Crostini), which allows you to run Linux commands and scripts:

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://builds.3dprinteros.com/builds/stable3/install-3dprinteros.sh)"

Enabling the Linux Terminal on Chromebook

If the Linux terminal is not enabled on your Chromebook, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Linux (Beta)

  3. Turn On Linux support

Once Linux is enabled, you can proceed with installing the Client to connect your printer.
