Switching to the Beta or Testing Version of the 3DPrinterOS Client Without Reflashing the SD card

1. Download the Latest Beta/Testing Client

2. Install the Client on the Raspberry Pi

Ensure that all printers are not actively printing jobs in the Cloud, as restarting the client will cause current jobs to fail.

  • Install the downloaded ZIP archive to one of the RPIs that has the problem.

3. Update the Client via the Web Interface

  • Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the RPI (this will access the 3DPrinterOS Client’s web interface).

  • Authorize and log in.

  • Go to Settings > Update from file.

  • Select the downloaded ZIP archive and initiate the installation.

4. Restart the Service

  • After the update begins, press Quit in the main menu to restart the service and complete the installation of the update.

5. Verify the Update

  • Once the RPI has restarted and the update is complete, return to the web interface.

  • Check the version displayed in the bottom right corner of the page to ensure it indicates Beta/Testing.

  • Verify that all printers are properly detected and functioning.
