Managing Agreements

To manage the types of agreements offered, the Contractor Admin user role is required. Navigate to the Agreement Types page under the Application Settings heading under your 3C Connect Settings.

If any agreements have been created previously, they'll be shown in the list of agreement types.

Adding Agreement Types

Click to add an agreement type and a new blank line will be added to the list. When you save, any new agreements you create will no longer be able to edit pricing details. Only the name and description will be editable after saving.

Parameters will need to be set up for the new agreement, including the name, description, duration, number of tune-ups provided, price type, price and discount rate.

Duration

The duration is only for reference, and does not directly affect the validity of the agreement. It serves as a guideline of roughly how long the agreement should be honored. When the agreement is perpetual, the duration can be seen as a period or renewal cycle in which to provide a certain number of tune-ups.

Tune-Ups Owed

Any number of tune-ups can be provided by default as part of an agreement. When the agreement prepared for set up, 3C Connect will automatically distribute the number of tune-ups across the projected agreement duration while avoiding dates that fall on weekends.

Price Type

One-Time

One-time costs are charged up front at the time the agreement is sold.

Recurring

Setting an agreement as recurring means that it will endure indefinitely. You will need to connect your 3C Connect account with Stripe in order to automate recurring payments. If Stripe is not activated, you will need to charge the customer manually each period. You can set the period yourself (monthly is the most common)

Price

This is the price that will be charged when the customer purchases the agreement.

Discount

Agreement discounts can automatically be added to a customer's work orders related to the covered piece of equipment.

Deleting Agreement Types

When you remove an agreement type, this agreement will be marked as a legacy agreement for any customers it was previously sold to. These legacy agreements will still be valid and benefits will continue until they are removed for that customer.

Agreement Type Settings

Badge Expires

This setting affects the expiration date when setting up the agreement and maintenance schedule. This is the date that the agreement will stop being valid.

This setting can be configured to automatically set the badge expiration date for each agreement. This is based on the duration you've set for each agreement type. Badge expiration dates will not be set automatically for perpetual agreements.

Round Up When Using Zones

When zones are used to add cost to agreements in distinct zones, you can choose to round the dollar amount up to a whole number. For example: this means that amounts like $14.25 will become $15.00.
