In general, Fine Art papers by their nature have a naturally “grippy” texture and are usually thicker than ordinary photo papers so they generally don’t have an issue with slippage. Also, because fine art papers are usually thicker and our Ultimate mats open on the short side, it can be difficult to slide them into the mat. That’s why we recommend Standard mats for Fine Art Prints and Ultimate Mats for other prints such as Lustre, Glossy and Metallic or any print types that are prone to slipping. Board Info: White core throughout, made from Archival board. Each board is alkaline-sized, & acid-free. The back board core is made from virgin wood pulp and is a pale Ivory colour.
