Our Wooden Window Boxes are made from a base construction of MDF and then they are finished with High Quality Veneers. In most cases we us Black Walnut from the Appalachian Mountains which is then sprayed with either varnish or a painted finish. The boxes are then over-sprayed with anti scratch coatings. The inside of the box is then lined out in luxury materials to both present and protect the matted prints. We avoid the use of solid woods as from our experience this frequently leads to warping and cracking. A veneered box offers a much more stable platform for a long life and also delivers the luxury feel and experience
