The SFDR require fund managers to do two sets of things. One set is about the manager itself (entity-level), and the other is about specific funds they manage (product-level). In this article, you will see: what are those levels and what is the difference in obligations?

Entity / Fund-Manager Level

For the fund manager level, they need to put info about how they handle environmental risks, how they link this to how they pay their staff, and the environmental impact of their activities on their website.

Product / Fund level

Product-level disclosures concern a specific fund and they must be uploaded on the entity's website, be included in the pre-contractual documents and in the periodic reports. The disclosures concern sustainability risk and impact. Based on the fund type, different disclosure obligations exist.

For more information on the different fund type classifications under the SFDR, you can have a look here.
