Overriding 5-Out Forecasts

If you have a large event or upcoming closure, or another reason you know your sales performance will be different from 5-Out's, it is important to manually override the 5-Out forecast:

Understanding Category-Level Forecasts

The categories under the Forecast Summary (as all data in 5-Out is) are pulled from your Point of Sale. To combine or change categories, you can make changes in your Point of Sale, or contact our support team to can assist manually.

Item-Level Forecasts for Special Items

5-Out needs about five weeks of data in order to properly forecast. Due to this, limited time offerings will take a month or so to accurately forecast. In the absence of 5-Out forecasts, you can always export your item-level sales forecasts or historic actual sales refer to similar items to estimate future sales.
