Platform guide for creating storage assets (facilities)

Centaur Cloud Platform follows an asset-based approach. All the tasks like monitoring, pest treatment, and quality processes are bound to an asset (i.e. a storage facility). Through the main dashboard of Centaur Cloud App, click on "Assets" button (there are two buttons available) and follow the next steps to create a new asset:

There are two ways to create a new asset, by pressing the "+" button or by pressing the "wizard" button (top-right corner):

If you choose the "wizard", a pop-up window will appear:

In this window, insert all the necessary information about your asset such as :

  • Name

  • Description 

  • Location 

  • Asset Building Type

  • Asset Dimensions

Press on "Save" button to save the asset and create a new one or "Next" button to move on the next step:

On the next step, select the product type, quantity, and timestamp (date/time of loading). Press "Next" to continue:

On the last step of the wizard, select the activity of your choice, Treatment Plan or Quality Plan. Press "Finish" to complete the procedure and exit the wizard:

Alternative Way for Creating an Asset

An alternative way to create an Asset is by clicking the plus sign ( + ) which is on the top right side of "Assets" tab.

On the new page:

1) Insert Asset's name:

2) Set Asset's location:

After inserting a Name and a Description (optional) of your Asset, set its location by clicking on the Set Now link triggers a pop-up window of a world map in which type your area to search and find it quickly.

For advanced accuracy you can change the map to satellite view and drag the pin exactly on your asset:

Click DONE button to complete the asset's placement on the map.

After setting the position of your asset, Centaur Weather Service will automatically search and find the closest weather station to start receiving climate data of the area where your asset is located.

3) Select Asset type and dimensions:

4) Select stored product type:

Other (optional) fields include: 

  • Predictive Analysis Duration: Select the duration of future predictive analytics for your stored product (up to 6 months ahead).

  • Asset Managers: Other email accounts that will receive notifications from this asset.

  • Aeration Cost: Add the cost of electricity and the capacity of your grain conditioning machinery to get an estimate of each aeration session.

  • Custom Fields: Other information that you want to follow your product quantity (e.g. grain characteristics, batch number, etc.)

Note: Product type and quantity are the only attributes that require update whenever a new type of product is loaded in the asset or smaller quantities are added or removed from the existing product.

Finally, click CREATE button at the bottom of the page to create your new Asset:

You are now redirected back to the Assets Tab and you should be able to see the new Asset that you have just created:

Congratulations!!! You have successfully created an Asset!
