The Centaur Cloud Platform follows a digital twin-based approach, where all tasks such as monitoring, pest treatment, and quality processes are linked to an asset (i.e., a storage facility). To create a new asset, follow these steps from the main dashboard of the Centaur Cloud App:
Starting the Asset Creation Process
Navigate to the Assets Section: Click on the "Assets" button from the main dashboard. You will find two "Assets" buttons available—click either one to proceed.
Choose Your Method: There are two ways to create a new asset:
Wizard Method: Click the "Wizard" button in the top-right corner.
Manual Method: Click the "+" button in the top-right corner.

Creating an Asset Using the Wizard
If you choose the "Wizard" method, a pop-up window will appear:
Enter Asset Information: Provide the necessary details about your asset, including:
Name
Description
Location
Asset Building Type
Asset Dimensions
Click "Save" to save the asset, or "Next" to continue to the next step.
Product Details: On the next screen, select the product type, quantity, and the timestamp (date/time of loading). Press "Next" to proceed.
Select Activity: In the final step, choose the activity you want to associate with this asset, such as a Treatment Plan or Quality Plan. Press "Finish" to complete the process and exit the wizard.
Alternative Way to Create an Asset
If you prefer not to use the wizard, you can manually create an asset by clicking the plus sign ( + ) in the top right corner of the "Assets" tab.
On the new page:
Insert Asset Name: Enter the name of your asset.
Set Asset Location: After entering the name (and an optional description), click on the "Set Now" link to open a pop-up window with a world map. Type your area in the search bar to find your location quickly. For greater accuracy, switch to satellite view and drag the pin to the exact position of your asset. Click "DONE" to confirm the location.
After setting the location, Centaur Weather Service will automatically find the nearest weather station to provide climate data for your asset's area.
Select Asset Type and Dimensions: Choose the type of asset and its dimensions.
Select Stored Product Type: Specify the type of product that will be stored in the asset.
Optional Fields
Predictive Analysis Duration: Choose how far ahead (up to 6 months) the platform should perform predictive analytics for your stored product.
Asset Managers: Add email accounts of the stored commodity managers who should receive notifications related to this asset.
Aeration Cost: Input the cost of electricity and the capacity of your grain conditioning machinery to estimate the cost of each aeration session.
Custom Fields: Add any additional information you want to track, such as stored commodity characteristics or lot numbers.
Note: The product type and quantity are the only attributes that need to be updated when a new product is loaded into the asset or when changes occur in the existing product's quantity.
Finalizing the Asset Creation
Click the "CREATE" button at the bottom of the page to finalize the creation of your new asset. You will be redirected back to the "Assets" tab, where you should see the newly created asset listed.
Congratulations! You have successfully created an asset.
