Lets create a new Recipe.
To start creating one click on the Recipes tab on the left sidebar of the platform and then click on the plus sign at the top right corner of the screen and a new pop up window will appear.

The following steps need to be defined in the first tab, CONDITIONS.

  1. When refers to application of the conditions to All of Any sensors

  2. Sensor stands for the sensor type. You can select the reading type of the sensor according to Treatment like Temperature, Phosphine, Battery etc.

  3. An important step is the Operator where the logical operation is defined. You can specify if sensor's value is:

  • equal to, greater that, less than, etc of a specific value

  • offline: sensor does not communicate

  • between: between a value range

  • variation: the percentage difference between the previous value and the next on

4. Time goes along with the Duration and Time Unit and declares the duration of the conditions that will be applied and the desired time unit, Seconds, Minutes, Hours. You can define:

  • continuously: condition must apply throughout the Duration

  • one: condition must apply at least once throughout the Duration

  • twice: condition must apply at least twice throughout the Duration

  • X times: how many times condition must apply throughout the Duration

An enlightening example of the process is displayed below where an alert is triggered “When all the temperature sensors that are greater than or equal to 40 degrees once in the last hour”.

When the desired conditions are defined you click Save and then the NEXT button below to continue.
In the NOTIFICATION section, first you can select the alert type and then the times to be notified if necessary by:

  • In-App notifications: Alert will be displayed in the Platform

  • Email notifications: An email address must be defined for the alert to be received

  • Notify me up to: Times to be notified (define a number) if the box is checked

In Tab 3, DESCRIPTION,the name of the recipe is needed and a description is desirable but not necessary.

Click the NEXT button and in the last tab, CONFIRMATION, select CREATE. Your recipe has successfully been created.

Now, you can clearly see the last created recipe and the old ones. You can Delete, see the Details (right bold arrow) and Add (+) a new recipe.

The On/Off button on the left side of the recipes can activate or deactivate them. When a new recipe is created is considered active. Keep in mind that when you deactivate a recipe, you do that for all the processes that this recipe is applied.

Congratulations!!!
You have successfully created a Recipe.

Now you will have to assign your recipe to a certain Process. To do so follow the path: Processes->Details (Process of your choice) ->RECIPES(Tab) and then click on the plus symbol (+). Firstly you choose where you want to assign your recipe to from a drop down menu (Process, Asset, Group, Sensor). Then you select according to your first choice on which exact Process, Asset or Group you want a recipe to apply to. In the next section you select your Recipe that you want to assign from the ones that you have already created in the Recipes Tab. Lastly you click on the save button at the right end of the line.

Congratulations!!! You have successfully assigned your Recipe.
