Aeration is the forced movement of ambient air of suitable quality or of suitably conditioned air through a grain bulk for improvement of grain storability. Low temperatures are required to prevent mold damage in moist grain.
If the grain is heating up or molding, aerate the grain until the grain has cooled back down. Centaur’s platform proposes to the user a tailored Aeration Plan based on the silo current conditions and weather forecast (see Figure 1).
