Regular cleaning and care

To keep your bottle free from odors and discoloration for a long time, we recommend cleaning it by hand as the gentlest method.

To do this, you can simply rinse your bottle with hot (not boiling) water and soap. Our 720°DGREE bottle brushes or our cleaning pearls are very helpful for this.

It is always helpful to remove the seals from the lid first* and place them in a safe place so that they do not get lost.

Due to the print, the outer coating and the seals & rubber rings (e.g. on the outside of the milkyBottle lid), it is not recommended to clean the bottles in the dishwasher, as the high intensity of the wash cycle can lead to optical damage to the coating.

Intensive cleaning and care

If you use the bottle regularly, we recommend intensive cleaning 1-2 times a month. We have these tips for you to ensure that this is gentle on the surface but still thorough:

  1. Add a dishwasher detergent tab or a packet of baking soda to the bottle.

  2. Fill the bottle with hot (not boiling) water and leave to stand for a few hours (ideally overnight).

  3. Then simply tip out the contents and rinse the bottle well under warm water.

Or

  1. Add two teaspoons of salt to the bottle, then pour in hot (not boiling) water.

  2. Then leave to work (overnight if necessary) and shake well every now and then.

  3. Finally, rinse the bottle well

Alternatively, you can also take a look at our cleaning tablets with active oxygen. You can add these to your bottle together with warm water and leave to work for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly. The cleaning tablets are particularly effective against odors and stubborn residues.

To guarantee thorough cleaning, it is advantageous to remove the seals from the lid* and rinse with warm water and soap.

It is also advisable to store the bottles with the lid open after cleaning to prevent mold growth.

*The simplBottle does not have a sealing ring, so it is not possible to remove it here.
