Most areas of Access Charity CRM have three access level options available:
Read: Users can read records but can't create new, edit and manipulate records.
Read Write: Users have access to all the main functionality of the selected area of Access Charity CRM including the ability to create new or edit an existing record.
Admin: Users have full access to all options in the selected area of Access Charity CRM.
Custom made modules not included in this article will typically follow these rules for permissions also.
Once you assign admin access to a user, they have access to the following standard options via the Administration module:

Search/Report Administration
General/System Administration
They also see the relevant options for their specific access rights, for example, finance administration options if they have finance administration rights. You can also restrict access to certain functions if necessary.
Access dimensions
There's also the Access Dimensions Read Writer permission that allows users to integrate with Access Financials and post information between the two.
Action manager
Action Mgr Read: This gives read-only access to the Action Manager form via the CRM module, including options to synchronise Outlook. This also provides access to the Actions data tab on all other forms in Access Charity CRM.
Action Mgr Read Write: This gives read access plus the ability to create new actions, mark as complete, set priority, save the search and delete saved searches.
Action Mgr Admin: This allows you to delete an action, as well as access the standard Admin module options and Action Manager reports.
Advanced volunteer
Advanced Volunteer: Provides read-only access to all of the areas within the Advanced Volunteer module and the Volunteer data tab of the Contact form. Users also have access to Volunteer reports.
Advanced Volunteer Read [...]: There are individual read permissions for each of the areas within the Advanced Volunteer module. These include Activities, Applications, Checks, Disclosures, Documents, Emergency Contacts, Identification, Interviews, Opportunities, References and Training.
Advanced Volunteer Read Write: 'Advanced Volunteer Read' plus the ability to create, edit and delete records within all the areas of the Advanced Volunteer and on the Volunteer data of the Contact form.
Advanced Volunteer Read Write [...]: There are individual read-write permissions for each of the areas within the Advanced Volunteer module, which allow you to create, edit and delete records. These areas include Activities, Applications, Checks, Disclosures, Documents, Emergency Contacts, Identification, Interviews, Opportunities, References and Training.
Advice
Advice Read: Read-only access to the Advice form and Advice Reports options in the Advice module.
Advice Read Write: Advice Read plus options to create new, edit, delete and generate correspondence.
Advice Admin: Advice Read Write plus standard Admin module options.
Alumni
Alumni: Read-only access to the Education and Employment data tab on the Contact form.
Alumni Read Write: Alumni Read access plus the option to create a new education or employment record, edit or delete an existing record, save and delete searches and attach sticky notes.
AUDISS
Auddis: This allows access to the Generate DDI File report.
Auddis Conversion Reports: This allows access to the Generate Mock Auddis File, Generate Initial AUDDIS Report and Load DDI Rejections File options in the DDI Options menu.
Barcode
Barcode Read Write: Allows the user to use the barcode scan module to scan barcodes.
Bulk Email
Bulk Email Read: Read-only allows access to the Bulk Email functionality within the Mailing module. You need this permission to use the View Unsubscribes option under the Create Email drop-down menu on the Mailings form and also to access the Mailchimp Sync Exceptions report on the Groups form.
Bulk Email Read Write: Bulk Email Read plus options to create new, edit and delete bulk emails. You need this permission to use the Validate Email Addresses under the Create Email drop-down menu on the Mailings form.
Bulk Email Admin: Bulk Email Read Write plus access to the Bulk Email administration options to add third-party credentials.
Committees
Committee Read: Read Only access to the Committees and Committees Activities option via the CRM module as well as the Committee and Committee Members data tabs on the Contact form.
Committee Read Write: Committee Read access rights plus the ability to create new, edit, delete records as well as the options to save and delete searches.
Communications
Communication Read: Provides access to the Communication data tab on the Contact form including button options for generating new correspondence.
Communication Read Write: Communication Read access rights plus options to create new communications, edit and delete existing communication and attach files throughout all forms in Access Charity CRM. This access right also provides users with the option to synchronise Access Charity CRM contacts with Outlook.
Communication Admin: Communication Read Write access rights plus standard Admin module options.
Note: Communication Read Write access is required to generate correspondence and 'Report Read Write' to access reports.
Confidential VIP
Confidential VIP: Provides access to the Set / Unset as VIP option in the Options toolbar of the Contact form. Users will also have a My VIP’s option in the CRM module. Only users that have been assigned the 'Confidential VIP' access right can view other users' VIP records.
Consent
Consent Portal Admin: Provides access to the Portal Settings form within the Admin module.
Contact
Contact Read: Provides read-only access to the Contact form in the CRM module. The New, Edit and Save Search options are removed from the toolbar.
Contact Read Write: Contact Read plus the option to create new contact records, edit existing contacts, save and delete searches, create relationships, attach and remove sticky notes, store extra addresses, add group profile information, add and remove pictures and change the contact type.
Contact Admin: Contact Read Write plus Dupe Check, Delete Contact. As well as standard Admin module options, Contact Admin users will have access to the Contact Administration option.
Credit Card
Credit Card Read Write: Allows credit card processing on pledges and batches and gives users access to the Batch Card Details report.
Data Feed
Data Feed Read: Read-only access to the Data Feed module.
Data Feed Read Write: Full access to the Import data options via the Data Feeds module.
Data Upload: Full access to the Data Upload tool.
Global Dedupe: Full access to Global Dedupe options via the Data Tools module.
Developer
Developer: Full access to the In-Application Configurator options within the Admin module, allowing you to add new fields to entities and forms, amend field labels and sublists, and to create simple data entry screens.
Events
Event Read: Read-only access to the Events data tab on the Contact form and to the Events, Bookings and Attendees form via the Events module.
Event Read Write: Events Read access plus the option to create a new event, edit. delete, or copy an existing event, save or delete searches, attach sticky notes, set event attendance, add/remove the picture, plus access to standard workflow options.
Event Admin: Events Read Write access plus standard Admin module options and access to Event reports.
Event Booking Read: Read Only access to the Events Bookings and Attendees forms via the Events module.
Event Booking Read Write: Event Booking Read access plus the option to create a new booking, edit. delete, save or delete searches, attach sticky notes, plus access to standard workflow options.
Feedback Cases
Feedback Read: Read Only access to Feedback Cases and Feedback Reports options in the Feedback module.
Feedback Read Write: Feedback Read plus new, edit, delete, close/open case, relate cases, save/delete search, attach sticky note.
Feedback Admin: Feedback Read Write plus standard 'Admin' access rights and access to Event reports.
Finance
Finance Admin: Administrator level access to Library Definition GiftAidClaim_checkAddress.
Funders
Funding Application Read: Read-only access to Funders and Funding Applications option in the Fundraising module. Unlike many other read access rights, Funding Applications will allow you to save and delete searches.
Funding Application Read Write: Trust Read plus the option to create, edit and delete a record.
Fundraising Preference Service
Fundraising Preference Service Read: Read-only access to the FPS New File Upload form within the Data Tools module.
Fundraising Preference Service Read Write: Fundraising Preference Service Read plus the option to create, edit and delete a record.
Gamma
Gamma: This enables you to integrate with Gamma, allowing certain customer data, such as membership details and transaction history, to be shared and used by each system.
GDPR
GDPR Inactive Report: Enables you to run the GDPR Inactive report.
GDPR Inactive Report Admin: Enables you to run and edit the GDPR Inactive report.
General
General: Access rights needed to be able to log in to the application.
General Admin: Lowest level administrator right needed to access forms such as Lookups and Library Definitions.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid Read: Read-only access to the following forms via the Finance module: Gift Aid Declarations, Gift Aid Claims including workflow options to submit a claim, produce a First Time GAD report, Destination Summary report, Transitional Tax Received report.
Gift Aid Declaration Read: Gift Aid Read minus access to Gift Aid Claims form.
Gift Aid Read Write: Gift Aid Read plus the option to generate new claims or edit existing claims.
Gift Aid Declaration Read Write: Gift Aid Read Write minus access to Gift Aid Claims form.
Gift Aid Admin: Gift Aid Read Write plus the option to set Financial Year Ends, Income Types, Contact Types and adjust library definitions for default values.
Note: A minimum of Payment Read access right is required to view tax batches and transitional relief batches via the Gift Aid Claims form.
Gifts in Kind
Gift in Kind Read: Read-only access to Gift in Kind form. This is also attributed to payment read.
Gift in Kind Read Write: Read/write access to Gift in Kind form. This is also attributed to payment read-write.
Gift Plans
Gift Plan Read: Ready Only Access to the Gift plan option in the fundraising module.
Gift Plan Read Write: Ready Only Access plus options to Create new, edit, save gift plans and planned gifts.
Gift Plan Admin: Read Write Access plus the option the to delete gift plans and planned Gifts.
Grants
Grants Read: Read-only access to the Grant Applications form and the Grants Programmes form via the Grants module. Also access to Grants reports and the ability to save and delete searches.
Grants Read Write: Grants Read plus the ability to edit, create and delete Grant Applications.
Grants Admin: Grants Read Write plus the option to record Equal opportunities details and the ability to create, edit and delete Grant Programmes. Grants Admin provides access to standard Admin reports along with standard Grants reports. Also provides the ability to approve and make Grant payments.
Grants Payment Read: Allows users access to the Grants Payments form.
Grants Payment Read Write: Allows users access to edit the Grants Payments form.
Grants Payment Refund: Allows users to do refunds on the payment schedule.
Grants Payment Reissue: Allows users to reprocess payments on the payment schedule.
Grants Release for Payment: Allows users to the Release for Payment option on the grants workflow.
Grants Make Payment: Allows users access to the Make Payments option in the grants module list.
Grants Change Grant Amount: Allows users access to the Change Grant Amount in the grants workflow.
Grants Approve Payment: Allows permissions to approve payments.
Grants Decision: Allows users to accept or reject a grant application.
Grants Change Account: Allows users access to the Change Account Details in the grants workflow.
Grants Verify Account: Allows users to use the Verify Account Details button on the grants Payment Details tab.
Grants Equal Opps Read: Allows users access to the Equal Opps form.
Grants Equal Opps Read Write: Allows users access to change the information in the Equal Opps form.
Grants Workflow: Allows users access to the Grants Workflow options.
Groups
Group Read: Read-only access to the Groups option via the CRM module. Group Read users can select groups from the contact form to display their details and access the Groups data tab on other forms throughout Access Charity CRM
Group Read Write: Group Read plus the option to create new, edit, add save search, delete saved search, attach sticky notes, copy contacts, move contacts, add/exclude groups from mailings.
Group Admin: Group Read Write plus the option to delete existing groups.
Invoice
Invoice Read: Read Only access to the Invoices option in the Finance module plus access to view logged invoices and credit notes in the Contact, Events, Membership and Trading modules.
Invoice Read Write: Invoice Read access plus the option to create and log invoices and credit notes in the Contact, Events and Membership modules.
Just Giving
JustGiving Read: Read-only access to the JustGiving Pages.
JustGiving Read Write: Ability to upload codes and page totals to JustGiving using the API.
Legacy
Legacy Read: Read-only access to the Legacy option in the Fundraising module.
Legacy Read Write: Read-only access plus options to create new, edit, save and delete search, set estimated DOB, group options, workflow options including option to register, delete or complete the legacy. Also provides the option to produce a legacy tax claim.
Legacy Admin: Legacy Read Write access plus standard Admin reports and Legacy reports.
Legacy Tax Claim Read: Read Only access to Legacy Tax Claims.
Legacy Tax Claim Read Write: Ability to make and process a Legacy Tax Claim.
Mailing
Mailing Read: Read Only access to the Mailings form and Incoming SMS option via the Mailing module.
Mailing Read Write: Mailing Read access plus the option to create new and edit records, Workflow options, and also includes Non-Respondents, Respondents, Reload and Letter Rules options.
Mailing Admin: Mailing Read Write access plus the option to delete a mailing.
Fragment Read Write: The ability to use the Fragmentation options.
Note: Group Read Write access is also required to load groups into a mailing and 'Committee Read Write' access to load committee members.
Membership
Membership Read: Read-only access to the Membership option in the CRM module.
Memberships Read Write: Membership Read plus options to create new, edit, save/delete searches, make payments, renew, convert, terminate, change payment amount, change payment frequency, apply manual discounts and check discounts.
Membership Admin: Membership Read Write plus standard Admin access rights including Membership reports.
Note: Users require a minimum of Contact Read access to view the Membership tab from the Contact form.
Mission Personnel
Mission Personnel Read: Read Only access to the Mission Personnel module.
Mission Personnel Read Write: Full access to the Missions Personnel module, including access to Mission Personnel reports and the ability to delete records.
Payment - Batches
Payment Read: Read-only access to Batches with the following Workflow options: Produce paying in slip, Generate BACS file. Read-only access to the Source Codes, Destination Codes, Payment File Processing, and Analysis options via the Finance module.
Payment Read Write: Payment Read plus the option to make a payment from the Contact form. Access to Batches options, including Workflow options. Read-only access to Source Codes, Destination Code. Read Write access to Payment File Processing option: New, Edit, Delete, Check Matches, Update Refs options and Workflow options including Load Pay File, Match Pay File. Full access to Batch Analysis.
Payment Admin: Payment Read Write plus the ability to set posted date, payment date, unlock and report batches. Payment Admin provides the user with additional workflow options via the Batches form of: Post to Accounts and Finance Reports. Payment Admin users also have full access to Source Codes, Destination Codes, Destination Code standard reports, BACS Rejections, Batch Analysis, Gifts in Kind, DDI options plus standard Admin options.
Note: Users require Receipt Read Write access to produce receipt letters.
Payment - Outgoing
Out Going Payments Read: Enables you to view outgoing batch records within the Grants module.
Out Going Payments Read Write: Enables you to view, create and edit outgoing batch records within the Grants module.
Pledges
Pledge Read: Read-only access to the Pledges form in the Finance module. Access to Pledges / Soft Credits data tab if user has been assigned a Contact access right. 'Pledge Read' also provides users with the option of producing a welcome letter via the Pledges form.
Pledge Read Write: Pledge Read plus option to create new, edit, delete, save/delete searches, write off pledges, re-activate a pledge, change pledge amount, change payment day, change frequency, change the schedule start date.
Pledge Admin: Pledge Read Write plus standard Admin module options.
Prospects
Prospect Read: Read-only access to the Prospects option in the Fundraising module plus read-only access to the Prospects data tab on the Contact form.
Prospect Read Write: Prospect Read plus the options to edit, create new, save and delete searches, along with access to the Communication toolbar.
Prospect Discovery: Ability to convert a contact record into a prospect.
Prospect Admin: Provides access to standard Admin options. Prospect Admin and Prospect Read Write must both be selected to make the Prospect option available to the user. When both of these access rights have been assigned the user will be provided with the additional admin options on the Prospects form to delete, discover by contact or by group.
Report
Report Creator: Allows users to create reports directly from within Reports Navigator.
Report Read: Allows users to view reports, but prevents them from creating, editing, copying, running or deleting reports
Report Read Write: Allows users to edit reports.
SQL Editor: Allows users to edit the SQL on reports.
Report Admin: Allows users to export reports from the system.
Sales Order
Sales Order Read: Read-only access to the Sales Order form within the Finance module.
Sales Order Read Write: Read Write access to the Sales Order form within the Finance module.
SEPA
SEPA Processing: Enables users to process cashless Euro payments.
Simple Volunteer
Simple Volunteer: Provides read-only access to all of the areas within the Simple Volunteer module and the Volunteer and Volunteer Checks data tabs on the Contact form. Users also have access to Volunteer reports.

Tax Claim ROI Declaration Read Write: Tax Claim ROI Declaration minus access to Tax Claims form.
Tax Claim ROI Read: Read-only access to the Tax Claims form in the Finance module.
Tax Claim ROI Read Write: Tax Claim ROI Read plus the option to generate new claims or edit existing claims.
Third Party
Third Party Bulk Email Read: Read access to the third party email functionality within the Mailing module.
Third Party Bulk Email Read Write: Enables you to use the third party email functionality within the Mailing module, such as Send with Third Party and Start Downloading Tracking Data options under the Create Email drop-down menu on the Mailings form.
Third Party Bulk Email Admin: Provides access to the third party credentials within the Admin module.
Volunteers
Volunteer Read: Provides read-only access to the Contact form and the Volunteer and Volunteer Checks options via the CRM module.
Volunteer Read Write: Volunteer Read plus option to create new, edit, save/delete search plus Activity Roles report
Volunteer Admin: Volunteer Read Write and standard Admin options.
Note: Users with Event access will also be able to go to volunteer records from the Events module.
Web Data
Web Data Admin: Enables the user full access to all of the Web data options within the Admin module plus access to the Web API reports and entities.
Web Data [...]: There are also individual Web Data access rights to allow a user access to the separate areas under the Web Data drop down in the Admin navigation menu. These areas include: Alumni, Contact, Document, Donation, Event, General, Membership, Pledge, Trading, Data Transfer, User and Control.
Widgets
Widget Control: Allows users full access to widget functionality.
