Adding a background is an easy way to bring your packaging to life. Whether you want to use one of our preset designs or customize panel colors yourself, the Design Studio gives you full creative control. Follow the steps below to apply backgrounds quickly and confidently.
Open the Design Studio
Head to BoxGenie.com and choose one of our available box styles.
Enter your project details on the product page.
Click “Design Box Online Now” to launch the Design Studio.
2. Browse Pre‑Set Backgrounds
Once inside the Design Studio, look at the left-hand panel.
Select “Designed Backgrounds.”
A full library of print‑ready backgrounds will appear. You can browse patterns, textures, and themed designs.
3. Apply a Background
Click on any background in the library.
Your entire box dieline will instantly populate with the design.
To remove it, simply click the same background again.
Tip: Try out multiple designs to see what best fits your brand—changes are instant and easy to undo.
4. Customize Individual Panels
Prefer a more custom look? You can modify each panel separately.
Click the panel you want to change.
At the top menu bar, open the color picker.
Choose a solid color to fill the selected panel.
This helps you combine preset backgrounds with branded accents or solid-colored sections.
That’s It!
Once your background is applied, continue customizing your box with text, images, logos, and more. When you’re finished, you can save your project or proceed to checkout.
