What Are Dividends?
A dividend is a portion of a company's profits distributed to shareholders — usually in cash. If you own shares (or fractional shares) of a company or ETF that pays dividends, you'll receive a proportional payment automatically.
Most U.S. and international companies and ETFs pay dividends quarterly, though some may pay monthly or annually depending on their policy.
Dividends are always paid in U.S. Dollars (USD) on CUSP.
Where to find your dividends in the app
You can track your dividend income in two places within CUSP Wealth:
Your dividends summary: From the home screen, scroll down past your portfolio to find the Your dividends section. This shows your annual dividend income and whether any upcoming dividends are scheduled.
Individual stock or ETF detail: Tap on any holding in your portfolio to see its dividend history, yield, payment dates, and how dividends have changed over time.
How dividends are paid on CUSP Wealth?
Dividends are automatically credited to your CUSP cash balance in USD.
If you hold fractional shares, your dividend payment is adjusted proportionally.
Each dividend appears in your Transaction History, clearly labelled as "Dividend."
There's no action needed — payments are processed automatically once received from our U.S. custodian.
What you can do with your dividends?
Once dividends are credited to your cash balance, you can:
Reinvest them into additional stocks, ETFs, or your CUSP Personalised Portfolio.
Leave them as cash, they'll continue earning interest if your idle cash feature is enabled.
Withdraw them through a standard manual bank transfer.
Is automatic dividend reinvestment (DRIP) available?
At this time, CUSP Wealth does not offer automatic dividend reinvestment (DRIP). Dividends are always paid as cash directly into your CUSP cash balance.
If you'd like to reinvest your dividends, you can do so yourself at any time.
