I’m from a sanctioned country but live elsewhere, am I eligible?

This article explains how eligibility is reviewed if you are from a sanctioned country but reside in another country.

Updated over 3 months ago

How Eligibility Works

Your case will always be reviewed by our Compliance team on an individual basis.

  • If you currently live in a sanctioned country: You cannot open a CUSP account.

  • If you hold citizenship from a sanctioned country but live elsewhere: This does not automatically disqualify you.

  • If you have another citizenship or valid residency outside a sanctioned country: You may still be eligible, subject to further review.

What Happens Next

In these situations, our Compliance team conducts Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD):

  1. Complete the signup process in the app.

  2. Submit your identification documents as requested.

  3. Our team will review your case and update you on your eligibility.
