Whiteboards are a visual way to document various aspects of a project, all in the browser! You can use a whiteboard to annotate work site photos and add products onto them, or markup PDFs.

Create a whiteboard

Go to "Overview > Drawings" in the Quote Details view. Click the "Whiteboard" tab. Then click "Create whiteboard."

Give the whiteboard a name in the top-left corner.

You will see a blank canvas with a toolbar with the following icons:

  • Draw, to draw freehand lines.

  • Text, to add text boxes

  • Shapes, to add circular, triangular, and rectangular shapes

  • Upload, to upload work site images or plan views

  • Comment, to add comments

  • Select, to select any object on the canvas

  • Erase, to erase an object on the canvas

Click the "Upload" icon and upload an image or a PDF, and use the other options on the toolbar to create the whiteboard.

To add products, use the Item Search bar at the top or open the panel on the left and add the products that are already in the quote.

The following is a screenshot of a whiteboard created on top of an image and some of the options on the toolbar.

To create another new whiteboard in the quote, click the "Plan View" tab on the far right and click "Whiteboard."

Add whiteboard to proposal

When the whiteboard is ready, you can add it to the "Files" section of the proposal so the customer can see it.
