Can I split an item with quantity >1 into multiple items in the purchase order?

I have a line item with quantity 4, but only want to order 2. Can I split them up to order half of them?

Example is I have 4 speakers spec'ed out for a living room. I happen to have 2 already in stock so only need to order 2 more, not 4 more. I want to split this into 4 line items and mark 2 of them as In Stock, and 2 of them as Ready to Order.

Unfortunately, no you can't do this right now. However, this is on our roadmap and we are currently working to get this in place.
