What fields can I import with my products?

When importing products through CSV/excel, these are the fields you can include and what will be ignored

The fields you can import into D-Tools cloud include anything you can enter on a product within the application. Below is a list of items that you can import with the way the entry should be formatted with the appropriate units.

  • Brand - Text, match to existing

  • Model (required) - Text

  • Category (recommended) - Select from existing, or uncategorized

  • Supplier - Text, match to existing

  • Subcategory - Select from existing, or leave uncategorized

  • Part Number - Text

  • System - Text, match to existing for better reporting

  • Phase - Text, match to existing for better reporting

  • Short Description - Text

  • Description - Text

  • Discontinued - Yes or No

  • Taxable - Yes or No

  • MSRP - Number ($)

  • Unit Price - Number ($)

  • Until Cost  - Number ($)

  • Labor Hours - Number (Hours)

  • Height - Number 

  • Width - Number 

  • Depth - Number 

  • Weight - Number 

  • Rack Mounted - Yes or No

  • Rack Units - Number

  • Amps - Number 

  • Volts - Number 

  • Watts - Number 

  • BTU - Number 

Any custom fields from SI or outside sources will not be able to be imported, as custom fields aren’t supported in D-Tools Cloud. Certain fields may have different names too. 

Below is a list of items that will NOT be importable from SI.

  • URL

  • Images

  • Accounting item name

  • Tags

  • Order UOM or Units

  • Dispersion

  • Bulk Wire

  • Start or End Terminal

  • Input and Output Terminals, Signals, Labels

  • Summarize

  • Approved

  • Show in product detail report
