By default, the products in a proposal are sorted alphabetically from A to Z by the product names. At times, customers may want to see products in a different order.
Sorting Options
Cloud allows for sorting products in the following ways:
Product name (A-Z)
Product name (Z-A)
Unit price ($$$-$)
Unit price ($-$$$)
Ranked order - you can rank items in your preferred order in which they need to be shown.
Display order - you can drag and drop items within the proposal and re-order them.
Sort Products
To sort the products in a different order, go to the "Edit" view of the proposal, and click "Edit" in the Products section. Select the new order in the "Sort By" drop-down.
Ranked Order
If you would like to handpick the display order of the products, use the Ranked Order criterion. This will show a "Set item ranked order" button in the panel. Click the button and this will show a modal to re-order the products.
Here, you can use the Up/Down arrows or simply drag and drop the products in the desired order. Click "Save" to save the display order.
Sorting Rules
The sorting criterion only sorts the products in a group and not the groups themselves. Groups will need to be reordered in the quote itself.
The sorting criterion applies individually to the groups of products in the proposal. For example, with 10 products each in the "Family Room" and "Kitchen" groups, the products will be sorted using the sorting criterion within the respective groups.
The sorting criterion also applies to the accessories. For example, with 3 accessories listed for a product, the accessories will also be sorted by the selected sorting criterion.
The sorting criterion also applies to the optional items irrespective of whether they appear in the list of products or are grouped below the list of products.
