Sometimes, you may need to replace an item in your quote with a similar item. This may be because the original item is unavailable or discontinued, or because the customer prefers a specific brand.

In such cases, you can use the "Find and Replace" feature to quickly replace items instead of having to delete them and add replacement items. This feature will replace the exact item quantity, and you can choose to retain labor and accessories from the original item.

To start the item replacement process, click the item to be replaced, then click "Replace" in the item's side panel. This will launch the Find and Replace assistant.

You can use the assistant as follows:

In the Find and Replace assistant, select "Replace selected item," search for the replacement item, and click "Select."

Now select your replacement option and click "Replace." The original item will be replaced by the new item in the location from which you launched the assistant.

In this example, we are replacing the Luma camera with an ENS Security camera in the family room.

This is agnostic to where you launch the assistant from. In the Find and Replace assistant, select "Replace items in locations." This will show all locations in the quote in the side panel.

Select the locations where the item needs to be replaced, search for the replacement item, and click "Select."

Now, select your replacement options and click "Replace." The original item will be replaced by the new item in all selected locations.

In this example, we are replacing the Luma cameras with ENS Security cameras in the family room and backyard.
