Although Event Caddy is only integrated with PayPal, Stripe, Cash & Check by default, you can allow for any payment methods with a bit of a work around. As an example, we're going to set up an e-Transfer payment method, but you can follow these instructions similarly for any third party payment platforms.

1. Enable Cash and/or Check as Payment Options under My Event -> Event Setup & Settings -> Event Settings.

2. Enter the payment information into the Invoice section just below 'Payment Options', in this case we'll use an example email as our e-Transfer email (please note this needs to be setup prior via your banking institution). You can also enter any Venmo, Square or other payment method information in this invoice section.


3. Rename 'Pay by Cash' to 'Pay by e-Transfer' under Event Website -> Website Editor -> Custom Names. You can also consider changing 'Pay by Check' to 'Pay by Check/Cash' to cover both. In this way, the third party payments will be handled similar to cash or checks and collected outside of Event Caddy.

4. When payment is received, head to Finances & Commerce -> Event Transactions and Mark the transaction as Paid to keep track of what's been received and still owing. You can also issue a new updated 'Paid' invoice there if needed.

Additional Information (Q&A)

  • Can I accept credit card payments on the day of the event?
    Your website registrations are available on the day of the event, so they could simply use their phone and pay using their credit card through the website just as they would before the event. You could also consider providing a tablet with the website open so they can use that to register (be sure to disable 'autosave' on the tablet browser so their credit card information isn't saved and provide adequate privacy & security).

  • Can we use a swipe device on the day of our event to accept payments?
    Since Event Caddy does not support integration with credit card swiping devices, these transactions will need to be processed outside of Event Caddy and then entered separately using the Cash or Check payment method (available with Event Caddy PRO).

  • Can we use Winred, CashApp or other third party payment platforms?
    You can use the instructions above for any non-integrated third party platform, including Winred, CashApp, Venmo, e-transfer & more!
