What is an Active Client?
An active client is any client with a subscription, free or paid, to one of your programs. Both free and paid subscriptions impact your active client count and may influence your billing totals.
Clients who have made only a one-off purchase of a Fixed Length program do not count. This is because Fixed-Length programs are considered one-time engagements and do not fall under the criteria for subscription-based models.
Understanding Fixed-Length vs Subscription Programs
Fixed-Length programs are one-off purchases, either free or paid, and do not contribute to the active client count. They are especially useful for limited or trial-based services that are not ongoing. Subscription programs, however, whether free or paid, do count and affect your active billing on FITR. For example, enrolling clients into programs like 'Group rolling calendar' or '1-2-1' will increase your billed active clients.
How many Active Clients do I have?
The best way to check this is using your FITR account.
Head to the Clients tab.
Filter program type for 1-2-1, Group Rolling Calendar and Session 1, Day 1 (so that you're excluding Fixed Length programs, as these don't count).
Here you will see the number of Active Clients within the tab.
My active clients on FITR and Stripe are different, why?
The number shown in FITR is correct as it includes all active clients currently subscribed to a program - whether free or paid. Whereas Stripe will only show clients with a paid subscription.
