The Difference Between Challenges and Daily Leaderboards (Coach)

The difference between Daily Leaderboards and Challenges on FITR - when to use each, how scoring works, and how they appear to clients.

Daily Leaderboards and Challenges both allow clients to log scores against a workout, but they serve different purposes.

βš™οΈ Daily Leaderboards

A Daily Leaderboard is tied to a specific day in the program schedule. Clients who complete training on that day can log their score. The leaderboard resets each time you use it on a new day - it does not accumulate results over time.

βš™οΈ Challenges

A Challenge is a named, repeatable workout that builds a single leaderboard across every time it appears in any program. Every time a client completes a Challenge, regardless of which program or when their score is added to the same running leaderboard. This lets you track progress over months and years.

πŸ“‹ At a glance

Use a Daily Leaderboard when you want a one-off competitive element on a specific training day. Use a Challenge when the workout is a benchmark you want clients to repeat and improve on over time.
