This applies only if Stripe is available in your country.
Transaction fees are applied when you sell one of your programs. We handle all payments within our platform when you connect your Stripe account. When you sell a program, a 5% fixed transaction fee will be deducted from your total sale. Stripe will also charge you fees that vary from country to country, which you can learn more about by visiting Stripe - https://stripe.com/pricing.
Payment Options and Alternatives in FITR
FITR supports Stripe as its primary and only integrated payment system. This payment platform is used to facilitate seamless payment processing for programs and services offered through FITR. However, we understand that some users may encounter limitations when setting up Stripe accounts or accessing its services. Below, we outline the available payment options and the alternatives if Stripe is unavailable.
Default Payment Integration: Stripe
To charge for your programs or services using FITR, you must connect a Stripe account. This connection allows payments to be fully integrated into the platform, enabling you to set prices, accept payments, and manage transactions directly within FITR. Without a connected Stripe account:
All programs will need to be listed as free.
FITR does not support integrated payment systems other than Stripe.
What to Do in Countries Not Supported by Stripe
If you are located in a country that Stripe does not service, there is a workaround to accommodate this limitation:
Create a Discount Code: Generate a 100% off coupon code to allow users to bypass the payment field during the signup process. In this way, clients can sign up without needing to provide payment information.
Arrange External Payment: Since the integrated payment process is skipped, you’ll need to organize payments through an alternative method outside of FITR. These payments will not be reflected or managed in the FITR platform, so exercise caution and document transactions independently.
Using External Payment Systems (e.g., TeamUp)
Although FITR does not directly support integrations with external payment systems such as TeamUp, you can still accept payments through non-integrated methods. Please note:
Payments managed outside FITR cannot be synchronized or displayed within the FITR system.
To charge through FITR, you must use Stripe. Otherwise, your programs can only be listed as free.
Summary
While Stripe remains the default platform for processing payments within FITR, alternative solutions are available for users in unsupported countries or those who prefer external payment systems. These alternatives require manual handling and may not offer the same level of integration as Stripe. For optimal functionality, we recommend using Stripe where possible. Connecting to Stripe on FITR:
On FITR, simply head to 'Settings' and then the 'Payouts' tab and click connect to Stripe. You'll be directed to Stripe and then back to FITR to complete the process.
Please take note of the warning once you're connected. Please make any price changes, coupons, etc, changes within the FITR platform, rather than in Stripe itself to ensure the connection with FITR works as intended.
Automatic Tax Collection on Stripe:
Automatic tax collection is available to coaches using FITR's integrated payments with Stripe.
Stripe Tax will calculate, collect, and report tax on your clients' payments, automatically collect the right amount of tax for your business and access the invoices and reports you need to file returns.
