Rate valid from: The first date your customer's cargo can be handed over to the carrier (vessel/aircraft) of the main leg.

Rate valid through: The last date your customer's cargo can be handed over to the carrier (vessel/aircraft) of the main leg. 

Quote valid through: The last date your customer can accept your quote.

The rates valid from field also allows you to search for rates that will only take effect in the future. 

Results will be generated based on the rates that are active from the inputed date.
This took the place of set pickupdate for pulling future rates.
