Fresto has a number different tools that let you access your bookings. These tools are all under Booking in the navigation bar, the principal ones being Schedule, List, and Floor plan. Each tool has its own advantages and uses to meet the different needs you have in your workflow.

The tools not only provide an overview of your daily bookings, but they they also allow you to view and update individual bookings.

Schedule

The Schedule page is the main tool to manage and view your bookings at a glance. It provides a quick overview to show you the distribution of bookings over time.

This is typically where you start from at the beginning of the day to check that your seating is optimized, and make any adjustments to satisfy guests’ requests. It is also the main tool that you and your staff use during service to follow the status of your bookings.

List

The List page provides an easy way to view or print out your bookings as a list, sorted by time. This is the tool that the host typically uses to welcome and seat people.

You can see all the details of each booking, including time, the Location and Floor Plan, and the number of guests. You can quickly mark guests as having arrived or been seated.

Floor Plan

If you have set up a graphic view of your Floor Plans, you can use this tool to get an instant visual overview of the current status of your Locations.

During service, you can use it to quickly see which Locations are will be occupied soon or currently free for walk-ins.

Tables are color-coded according to whether they are free, currently occupied or soon to be occupied. This is indicated by the legend at the bottom left.

Calendar

The Calendar page provides you with a high-level overview of each day from today onwards. Each box represents a day, and displays information like the number of bookings and guests, together with the weather forecast.

If you click on a day, a dialog opens showing a graph of Guests arrival per hour. From this dialog you can go to the Schedule tool directly by clicking the Go to schedule button.

Search

The Search tool allows you to look through bookings by date, and shows future and past bookings from up to 2 weeks ago. This is the only tool that shows cancellations, and displays whether or not the booking was canceled by the guest.

This tool also offers the possibility to export the bookings data to Excel.
