The Booking panel allows you to view or update a single booking, and shows information about your guests and their requests.

You will need to update booking information when guests contact you to make changes, or when you need to re-arrange the table assignment.

You can see information about the booking history of the guest, such as number of previous bookings, no-shows, blacklisting, and so forth.

This is also the main place to follow the status of the guest’s visit, for example from arrived to seated.

The Booking panel

The Booking panel can be opened in a few different ways. In the Schedule tab it opens when you click on a booking, in the List view tab it opens when you click the Edit button for a booking, and in the Floor plan tab it opens when you click on a table that has a booking at the present moment or coming up soon.

The Booking panel shows information about the booking and the guest, and allows you to perform various actions. At the top, there can be a number of buttons available, depending on the status of the booking. These are as follows:

Booking Changes

The body of the Booking panel allows you to view and update information about the booking and the guest. You can change the seating duration and the number of guests, as well as the time, date, and location of the booking. You can access other pertinent information, such as food preferences or child seats, and leave comments that are only visible to staff members.

Changing the time

A customer may want to change the time that they have a booking on a given day. In the Schedule view you can use the six dots on the left of a booking bar to drag it to a different table or a different time. If you drag it over another booking, you are asked if you would like to swap the two.

Changing the date

A customer may want to change the date of a booking. To do this for the guest, open the booking in the Booking panel and click Change day. You can then click on the date to switch to the desired day. You can then click on a timeslot for any free Location.
