One of the retrospective's goals is to create and commit to a list of action items that will promise the team's continued improvement. Create your action items from your cards and follow up on them to ensure they are handled.

Creating an Action Item

There are two options to create action items within your board:

Adding action items

  1. Click on the "Add action item" button on the action items drawer on the right.

  2. Choose an assignee who will own this action item.

  3. Select a due date for completion.

  4. Type in a description.

  5. Press enter to save your new action item.

Adding action items linked to cards

  1. Click on the lightning bolt icon on the bottom left of your card.

  2. Head to your action item created in your action items panel.

  3. Choose an assignee who will own this action item.

  4. Select a due date for completion.

  5. Type in a description.

  6. Press enter to save your new action item.

Action Items History 💎

To view your action items from previous boards:

  1. Click on the lightning button on the right to open your action items panel.

  2. Click on the name of a previous board to view the action items from that board.

To view all your action items, click on the "Action Items" tab. In this page you will see a list of your action items by created date, owner, board name, team name, card title, description, status, and due date.

To filter your action items, hover over the column header and click on the filter icon to select your filter conditions.

To update the action item's details (owner, due dates, etc) click on one of them and edit them.

To delete an action item, click on the trash icon next to it.

To sort your action items, click on the header of the column.

Exporting Action Items

When exporting a board, the relevant action items will appear in the exported report as well. Follow this article for further instructions on how to export a board.
