The Spotlight feature allows you to showcase exceptional creations and written evaluations done by your students to the rest of the class. Spotlighting allows students to have equitable access to viewing exemplary work so that they can better understand what’s expected of them. Spotlighted creations can also serve as great additions to study guides, depending on the activity type.
When you spotlight, the anonymity of the author of the creation and/or evaluation is preserved. The student whose work is being spotlighted will be sent a congratulatory email notification.
TIP: You may want to sort your activity’s student list based on highest scores to easily find the best creations to spotlight.
Spotlighting a Student's Creation:

Click into an activity
Select a student from the activity’s student list
Select the ‘Creation’ Tab
Select ‘Spotlight Creation’ under the Creation heading
Select if the creation was “Above & Beyond” or “Innovative”
Share remarks you would like to share with your students
Select ‘Preview’
Review the Spotlight and select ‘Share Spotlight’
The spotlight will appear at the top of all students’ Activity Dashboards, under their grades and above their Current Activities:
Spotlighting a Student's Evaluation:
Click into an activity
Select a student from the student list
Select the ‘Creation’ Tab
Scroll down to 'Evaluations Received'
Select ‘Spotlight Evaluation’ under the Written Evaluation that you would like to spotlight
Select if the Written Evaluation was “Critical & Motivational” or “Authentic”
Share remarks you would like to share with your students
Select ‘Preview’
Review the Spotlight and select ‘Share Spotlight’
