Troubleshooting eSIM Activation Issues

Sometimes, small issues can prevent your MAJORITY eSIM from installing correctly. Here’s how to identify and fix the most common problems.

🔍 Common eSIM activation problems and how to fix them

1. Your phone is carrier-locked

Problem:
Your phone is still locked to another carrier and cannot activate a new eSIM.

Solution:

  • Contact your previous carrier to request an unlock.

  • Once your phone is unlocked, retry eSIM activation inside the MAJORITY app.

2. Your phone is not eSIM compatible

Problem:
Your device does not support eSIM technology.

Solution:

  • Verify your model against the compatibility list.

  • Check manually: Dial *#06# and look for an EID number.

  • Or use this free online tool to check your IMEI:

  • If your phone isn’t compatible, you’ll need a different device that supports eSIM.

3. You're outside the U.S.

Problem:
eSIM installation will fail if you're outside the United States.

Solution:

  • Wait until you are physically back in the U.S.

  • Then, open the MAJORITY app and retry activation.

4. No stable internet connection

Problem:
Your phone doesn’t have a strong Wi-Fi or mobile data connection during installation.

Solution:

  • Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network.

  • Keep the MAJORITY app open during the entire process.

  • Retry the installation from the app if needed.
