I have a good credit history in my home country. Can I use that in the U.S.?

Unfortunately, credit history does not transfer between countries. Each country has its own credit reporting system, and U.S. credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) do not have access to your credit history from abroad.

This means that even if you had excellent credit in your home country, you'll be starting from scratch in the U.S. The good news is that you can start building U.S. credit right away with tools like MAJORITY Visa® credit card—no existing U.S. credit required.
