Requirements to open a MAJORITY account (United States)

Age, identity, location, and document requirements to sign up for MAJORITY while living in the U.S.

  1. Age: minimum 18 years old in general.
    With exceptions in:

Alabama and Nebraska, where the minimum age is 19 years old.

Mississippi and Puerto Rico, where the minimum age is 21 years old.

  1. Living in the U.S: a U.S. residential address is required (this is where the physical Visa® card is sent).

  2. No Social Security Number (SSN) required.

  3. Valid, current, and legible identity document issued by a government authority from any country. Accepted: passport, driver's license, national ID card/document, work permit, permanent resident card, government-issued visa, or other official documents. Examples by country: Mexico (INE), Colombia (cédula or PPT), Venezuela (cédula, passport, passport extension/prórroga, or expired passport up to 10 years past expiration).

  4. The document must be valid, legible, clearly show name and photo, and not be damaged or altered; photocopies are not accepted.
