All payments are final and cannot be canceled or refunded. It is important to verify the recipient's phone number before making a payment to avoid any issues. Only pay people you know and trust.
What if I accidentally pay the wrong person?
If you have made a payment by mistake, we recommend reaching out to that person and requesting your money back. If you’re unsuccessful, our Customer Service team may be able to help in some cases. The best way to avoid this issue is to confirm the recipient’s phone number before making a payment.
What happens if the recipient isn’t a MAJORITY member?
If you send a payment to someone who isn’t a MAJORITY member, they’ll receive a link to claim the money by entering their debit card details (Visa or Mastercard issued in the U.S.).
Here’s what you should know:
They don’t need a MAJORITY account to receive the payment.
The payment is processed instantly once they complete their information.
You can cancel the link at any time, as long as the payment hasn’t been claimed.
A 1.5% fee applies, but it’s currently waived as part of a promotion until June 30, 2025.
Note: When sending money to non-MAJORITY users, the payment link will expire after 6 days if not claimed. In that case, the money will be automatically refunded to your account.
