Some of your Method users may have their email set up through Microsoft Exchange Online. Depending on your email server setup, their setup instructions may not initially work with Method default email server setup.
Note: These instructions may vary depending on your setup. They are provided as a means to help troubleshoot.
If you are wondering if this solution is for you, your email server should look like this:
contoso-com.mail.protection.outlook.com
Set up your Exchange Online
Go into Office 365 and select the Exchange Admin Center.
Once there, select Mail flow > Rules.
Note: If you do not see the Rules section, you will need to contact Microsoft to upgrade your account.Under Rules, create a new rule by clicking the plus icon.
Give your rule a name, then click More options.
Under Apply this rule if, select The sender, then choose IP address is in any of these ranges or exactly matches.
Add the following IP addresses:
52.8.67.148
52.8.93.61
52.8.109.43
52.9.222.196
52.9.26.127
52.53.53.48
54.153.107.73
54.177.107.51Under Do the following, set the action by choosing Modify the message properties.
Under Set the spam confidence level (SCL), select Bypass spam filtering, then click OK.
Click Save to save the rule. It will now appear in your list of rules.
After you create and enforce the rule, spam filtering is bypassed for the IP address range you specified!
Configure Method's Company Email Settings
In Method, click your Profile icon in the upper-right and then click Account Settings.
Scroll down until you find Communication. Select it to go to its settings.
Within the Email settings, by the Email section, select Setup my own custom server.
Scroll down to Customer Server settings, and fill in the fields as shown:
Add a company server: MS Exchange
Email User Name: your email address associated with your Office 365 account
Password: your email password associated with your Office 365 account
Allow Method to access your Microsoft Account
There is one further step you must do:
Once complete, your email server should be set up.
