You’d use the customisable CSV export feature:
Tailor data exports to match the format your finance system requires.
Choose only the columns you need, reducing clutter and improving clarity.
Rename columns to align with external system field names.
Step-by-Step: Enabling and Using Customisable CSV Export
Step 1: Enable the Feature via Role Permissions
Go to System Setup.
Navigate to Roles & Permissions.
Select the relevant user role (e.g., Support Analyst, Finance Team).
Find the permission for Customisable CSV Export and enable it.
Save changes.
Step 2: Access the CSV Export Settings
Step 3: Choose Columns to Include
You’ll see a list of available data fields.
Select the fields you'd like next to the columns you want to include in your export.
Examples: Invoice Number, Customer Name, Net Amount, VAT, etc.
You can reorder columns if needed for compatibility with your finance system.
Step 4: Rename Columns
For each selected column, you can enter a custom name.
This is useful for matching the naming conventions of your external system.
Example: Rename “Net Amount” to “Subtotal”.
Step 5: Save Your Configuration
Once your columns and names are set, click Save Configuration.
Your settings will now apply to all future exports using this format.
Step 6: Export Data
Go to System setup
Export data.
Click Export and choose Custom CSV Format.
The system will generate a CSV file using your saved configuration.
