Pro Tip:
You can use any AI tool eg ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, to create you a prompt to use with the OnRent Go dashboards. For example, ask ChatGPT something like...
You are an expert prompt engineer and OnRent Go dashboard designer.
I want you to create a high-quality prompt that I can paste directly into my OnRent Go dashboard creation tool.
The prompt you create should describe a dashboard clearly enough that the dashboard tool can generate it accurately.
Ask me for any missing details only if absolutely necessary. Otherwise, make sensible assumptions based on rental, hire, construction, and industrial operations dashboards.
The dashboard prompt you produce should include:
1. Dashboard purpose
2. Target users
3. Desktop layout
4. KPI cards
5. Tables and sections
6. Filters
7. Data sources
8. Required calculations
9. Styling requirements
10. Business rules
11. Any assumptions
12. A final ready-to-paste prompt
Use a clean, practical, operational reporting style rather than a marketing dashboard style.
The output should be structured like this:
Dashboard prompt name:
[Short descriptive name]
Best used for:
[Brief explanation of what this dashboard is for]
Ready-to-paste dashboard creation prompt:
[The full prompt I can paste into OnRent Go]

AI Prompt:
Create a clean, modern revenue dashboard designed for desktop use with a professional ERP/business intelligence aesthetic. The layout should be compact, highly readable, and optimized for operational users who need a quick financial overview.
At the top, display three horizontally aligned summary cards with subtle borders, soft background colours, and centered values:
Date period selector card
Total revenue KPI card (highlighted with a light green background)
Depot/location card (light blue background)
Below the KPI cards, create a full-width revenue summary table. Use a simple grid layout with light grey headers, thin borders, right-aligned currency values, and percentage share columns. Include a bold total row at the bottom.
Under the revenue summary, display two separate sections stacked vertically:
Top Rental Revenue Items
Top Sale Revenue Items
Each section should contain a clean data table with:
Product column
Group/category column
Revenue column
Tables should use:
Light grey header rows
White backgrounds
Thin borders
Alternating row shading optional
Right-aligned monetary values
Consistent spacing and typography
No heavy shadows or modern card effects
Styling requirements:
Neutral business colour palette
Light greys for tables and borders
Green used only for key revenue KPI
Blue used only for depot/location KPI
Font similar to Segoe UI, Inter, or Open Sans
Compact row heights
Clear hierarchy with section headings centered above each table
Responsive width but optimized for desktop screens
Minimalist ERP-style appearance rather than a marketing dashboard
Focus on readability, density of information, and operational reporting
Data sources:
Revenue transactions table/view
Rental revenue transactions
Sales revenue transactions
Depot/location master data
Product master data
Product group/category master data
Date range filter input
Required calculations:
Total revenue for selected period
Revenue grouped by revenue type
Percentage share of total revenue by revenue type
Top rental revenue products ranked by revenue
Top sales revenue products ranked by revenue
Depot-filtered reporting
Date-range filtered reporting
The finished screen should resemble a traditional equipment hire, rental, construction, or industrial operations management reporting dashboard, prioritizing clarity, fast scanning, and accurate financial reporting over visual flair
