OnRent runs in your web browser, its known as a responsive web app, which in layman's terms means it automatically resizes and scales based on whatever size device you're using.
OnRent is optimised to be used right down to the level of a smartphone. It also means your workforce won't have to download a single thing to their own device from an app store!
You can set OnRent up in a specific way so that it can be used by a mobile workforce.
You can invite a new user and add them to the pre-defined "Drivers" role, you can see on the settings they only get access to their own movements (deliveries and collections) - note you can set OnRent up so drivers can see other peoples movements too.
Assign a movement to a driver easily by editing the movement, or when you dispatch or return request a list of items on an order, you can choose the person to assign them to at that point, so that the jobs only appear in their list.
Then, the workforce team can get the dispatches and return requests in a list form and process them in sequence, opening your favourite maps app on your phone to get directions, and when they arrive, take photos for proof of delivery, signatures and more.
On a return, mark items as damaged / missing and take photos of the damage, which in turn appear on damage letters and are stored against the items repair / service record for future reference.
I want to run OnRent as an app
The following guide explains how to run OnRent as an app on an Apple device. A similar process can take place on other devices such as Android devices.
On Apple devices, simply open your browser, use the button on the menu bar (or other browser) and tap on "Add to Home Screen".
OnRent will then appear as an app which can be accessed easily at any time. Job done!
