Pharmapod release notes

Sprint 90

The following document highlights the enhancements and bug fixes included in the Pharmapod Sprint 90 release.

Enhancements

Global: Insights Pro launch (15178)

To improve analytics and provide additional reporting capabilities, Pharmapod will be launching a new Insights Pro page. As a result of this update, we will be decommissioning Insights Lite. All existing Insights Lite reports will now be found in Insights Pro. Insights Pro will include the following enhancements:

  • Expanded reporting and custom report creation: Insights Pro offers 36 reports (up from 14 in Insights Lite) and allows users to build tailored reports with flexible filtering and export options.

  • Advanced filters: Easily filter data by sub-organizations, facility types, event types, provinces, harm levels, and more.

  • Event trend analysis: Track incidents over time by event type, harm level, province, and specific time periods.

  • Enhanced case management: Gain insights into case closure times and escalation patterns.

  • Facility reporting rates: Monitor how many facilities are reporting events versus those with none.

  • Normalization by prescription count: Compare event data relative to prescription volumes for more accurate insights.

  • Improved user interface and visualization: A more intuitive, user-friendly, and visually enhanced dashboard experience.

Global: Removed Save as draft toggle (14993)

We have removed the Save as draft toggle in the Module access pop up for administrators. As a result, the save as a draft functionality is now enabled for every user.

Global: Updated delete button when unlinking facilities (15000)

Previously, when you attempted to unlink two facilities, you would click a Delete button. This caused confusion. To improve the user experience, we have updated this button to read Unlink. Additionally, after clicking the new Unlink button, a confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm the unlinking.

Based on client feedback, we have added a new contributing factor (along with relevant subfactors): Critical Situation of Risk requiring intervention. The subfactors include:

  • Escalation of behaviours situation

  • Illegal activity (e.g. drug seeking or diversion of drugs)

  • Medical condition changed rapidly requiring an intervention

  • Overdose situation requiring an intervention

  • Patient/resident at risk of harming themself or others

  • Risk of harm to patient/resident or others

Global: Updated Incident Report categories and subcategories (14938)(14733)

To improve the level of detail that can be added to incident reporting, we have added and updated the following categories and subcategories in the What happened section:

  • Omission (e.g. drug not supplied / untreated condition or missed data entry)

    • Updated the main category label for clarity.

    • Added a new subcategory: Prescription information missing because order not entered/processed.

  • Change in Medical Condition (e.g. Severe unresponsive hypoglycemia)

    • Added new sub-category data fields: Mild hypoglycemia (3.9 – 3.0 mmol/L) and Moderate hypoglycemia (2.9 – 2.8 mmol/L)

Global: Exiting form update (14959) (15289)

Previously, when you were working with a form, you could close the form before you submitted it, and all data would be lost. We have updated this process and now, when you attempt to close the form, a confirmation window will appear, prompting you to continue editing or confirm closing the page.

Global: Button consistency update (15231)

To improve the user experience, we have updated the look of the buttons in the forms.

When viewing assessments via the Head office view, if the optional stages are turned off, then that section is now greyed out. Enabled the RxBriefCase e-Learning module for Canadian clients.

Bug fixes

Global: Document viewer size issue (15299)

Previously, if you uploaded a document to the event, on the summary page, clicking the View icon to review the document would open a window that was too small to see the content. This has been resolved, and an appropriately sized window now displays.

Global: Data warehouse field inconsistency issue (15004) (15086)

Previously, inconsistencies were found related to the What happened? and Do any of the following apply to this incident? fields. This has been resolved, and the data now correctly displays in the Data Warehouse.

Global: Form description editing issue (14990)

Previously, when attempting to edit a section of a form using the Description editing window, applying any of the formatting (ex. Bold, italics, etc) would not work. This has been resolved, and the formatting now works correctly.

Global: Saving Contributing Factors issue (15298)

Previously, when using the Root Cause tool, you were unable to save Contributing Factors on the Summary page. This has been resolved, and you may now save Contributing Factors.

Global: Closure request email issue (15258)

Previously, the Closure request email notification was incorrectly sent to sites with the same user position. This has been resolved, and Closure request email notifications are now sent to the correct teams and users.

Global: Linked facility access update issue (15297)

Previously, under Linked events, when the Linked facility access was updated by the submitting user, the new access would not apply. This has been resolved, and the Linked facility will now reflect the changes.

Previously, when submitting an event, the What happened and Stages involved sections were misaligned. This has been resolved, and the two sections now display properly.

When editing a Team within your Settings, the page displays blank. This has been resolved, and you are now able to edit a Team.

Global: RxBriefCase LastPass login issue (15131)

Previously, when attempting to log in via RxBriefCase, if you had LastPass or a Password Vault extension enabled, the email field would incorrectly autopopulate with a Pharmapod login saved in your password vault. This has been resolved, and the email field no longer incorrectly populates.

Global: Case ID search issue (15433)

Previously, when attempting to search via a valid Case ID, no results would display (even when the ID existed in the system. This has been resolved and the search function now works correctly for valid event or case IDs.

Global: Active Assessments not showing when creating a Sign-Off Request (15447)

Previously, under the SOP Management > Sign-Off Requests section, the Assessments dropdown appeared blank when trying to add a new request (even when active assessments existed in the system). The system now correctly loads and displays all active assessments in the dropdown.

Global: Unable to Save or Submit Form Due to Validation Error — Even When All Fields Appeared Complete (15481, 15530)

Some users were unable to save or submit events, receiving a “missing information” error — even though there were no visible red warnings. If a required field is missing, the system will now clearly show where the issue is, so users don’t lose their work or have to re-enter data.

GRLS: Character Limit Increased for IE PAS Assessment Table Cells (15470)

Some users experienced issues with IE PAS Assessments not saving, caused by entering more than 255 characters in a single table cell. We’ve now increased the character limit to 512, allowing users to enter more detailed responses without save errors.
