2. User Story 10633: Data Warehouse - Export & Updates for Multi-Patient Tool
· Description: Within the Data Warehouse and PSO modules/reports the multi patient tool within the updated forms has led to the following changes:
For each patient in an event, the Gender (Radio Selection), Date of Birth, Age, and Harm Level (Actual Harm Caused) should be exported to the Data Warehouse tables. The worst harm level (Actual Harm Caused) for the event should be recorded in the existing DW table "dw_events" / field "harm_level_id". The below reports will display a count towards the worst harm of the event.
Dashboard > Number of Incidents by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 5: What Happened by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 9: Why Event Happened by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 11: Rate of Events by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 12: Drug Involved by Harm Level
The existing Data Warehouse reports will remain in counting distinct events, but to account for the additional impact of multiple patients per event, a new option "Number of Patients/Residents Impacted" will be added in "Normalize By" drop down. When this is selected, the count of each event will reflect the number of patients affected across all events in that range.
For the following reports, when "Number of Patients/Residents Impacted" is selected for "Normalize by", the harm level selected per patient per event will result in the totals for the date range as required for the below reports.
Dashboard > Number of Incidents by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 5: What Happened by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 9: Why Event Happened by Harm Level
Medication Safety Program Report 11: Rate of Events by Harm Level
