What is the scope of a card?

Learn what “scope” means in Career Mode cards and how it defines which team stats the card will track.

Updated over a week ago

Every Prediction Card in Career Mode has a scope. The scope determines which team’s stats the card applies to during a match. There are four possible scopes:

  • Home: The card only tracks the home team’s stats.

  • Away: The card only tracks the away team’s stats.

  • Any: The card tracks whichever team achieves the event first (e.g., first goal).

  • Both: The card activates for both teams whenever the event occurs.

Example:

  • A “Goal” card with Home scope activates only when the home team scores.

  • The same card with Both scope activates every time either team scores.

Scope is what fine-tunes your strategy — it defines how specific or broad your card’s effect will be in the Arena.
