What’s the difference between Gold Coins, Sweepstakes Cash, and USD?

Learn how Gold Coins, Sweepstakes Coins, and USD work in Pickem, and what each currency is used for.

Updated this week

Pickem uses three different currencies, each serving a unique purpose across its game modes:

Gold Coins (GC)

  • What they are: Pickem’s play-for-fun currency.

  • How to get them: Daily login rewards, free 1,000 GC refill when you run out, gameplay rewards in Career Mode, purchases in the shop or competing and engaging in career mode.

  • How to use them:

    • Play any Social Casino game for fun.

    • Upgrade Cards in Career Mode.

    • Enter DFS lineups for fun (coming soon).

  • Redeemable? No — Gold Coins are never redeemable for prizes.

Sweepstakes Coins (SC)

  • What they are: A promotional currency with prize value.

  • How to get them:

    • Bonus with every Gold Coin purchase in the shop.

    • Daily login claims.

    • Winnings from Social Casino games.

    • Cashback from real-money DFS lineups (coming soon).

  • How to use them: Play Social Casino games. Winnings earned from SC can be redeemed for prizes once playthrough requirements are met.

USD (coming soon)

  • What it is: A real-money balance linked to Picks (DFS mode).

  • How to get it: By depositing directly once DFS is live.

  • How to use it: Enter real-money lineups in Picks (DFS).

  • Redeemable? Yes — USD winnings from DFS lineups will be withdrawable once the mode is available.

In short:

  • Gold Coins = play-for-fun currency.

  • Sweepstakes Coins = promotional currency redeemable for prizes.

  • USD (coming soon) = real-money balance for DFS play.
